ABOUT ME

We are a law firm that focuses nearly exclusively in criminal defense matters.  Attorney Seman grew up in Pittsburgh, went to school here in Pittsburgh (a proud graduate of Woodland Hills High School, Duquesne University and Duquesne School of Law), and has been practicing law for 23+ years in Pittsburgh and its surrounding counties.  

While we greatly appreciate you visiting this site, and are glad that you found it, we hope that you do not intend to hire criminal defense counsel based on a website.  

Whether it is with our firm, or another lawyer, the most important thing to start with is an in-person meeting.  Yes, there are circumstances where it is not possible, but please, make the time to come and meet us (or whoever else you hire, for that matter). We don't charge for consultations (we don't think anyone should, but that's us) and we don't look at a clock.   

EXPERIENCE

For 23+ years now attorney Seman has practiced law in Pittsburgh and the surrounding counties, with the past 21+ being focused specifically on criminal defense cases.  LOTS of criminal defense cases.  From traffic tickets and DUIs to assaults (both physical and sexual, you name it, we’ve handled it), to major drug offenses, to homicides and death penalty cases (Rule 801 death penalty certified https://www.pacle.org/services/cap_counsel_results.asp).

We tell clients all the time that we are not magicians, and that no criminal defense lawyer is.  Please do not expect to hire one (our firm or otherwise) and get one.

It may be cliche, but the best new clients we get are those that have been referred by a prior client. With that said, every client is different, and every case is different, so please do not expect a certain result. No lawyer can guarantee you success, the only thing a lawyer can do is try to put you in the best possible legal position, and advise you accordingly. At all times, our number one concern is your freedom.
